We are a community of Panamanians and friends of Panama in Toronto, united by the love for our culture and the desire to keep it alive far from home.

Our Mission

To preserve, promote, and celebrate Panamanian heritage in the Greater Toronto Area, fostering community, belonging, and pride for current and future generations.

Our Vision

A vibrant, connected Panamanian community in Toronto where culture thrives, traditions are passed down, and everyone feels at home.

Our Story

Our Story

The Panama Heritage Association in Toronto (PHAT) was founded with the purpose of preserving and promoting Panamanian culture in Canada. Created by community leaders, the association provides a space where Panamanians and friends of Panama can connect, support each other, and celebrate their roots.

PHAT drives unity and cultural pride through social, cultural, and educational activities, strengthening bonds across generations. It also serves as a bridge between cultures, promoting inclusion and diversity in Toronto.

Today, PHAT is more than an organization: it is a community that represents the spirit and identity of Panama abroad.
